Kingslize Premium Pizza and MIVAS have joined forces for the Green Deal "Differently Packed" subsidy dossier. ? While MIVAS handles the professional cleaning, Kingslize Premium Pizza takes care of the logistics and delivery of pizzas in reusable boxes. ? This fantastic project is supported by Klimaatneutraal Mechelen. Boomerang is an initiative aimed at sustainability and reducing waste through reusable takeaway packaging. We are creating a smart logistics process with reusable packaging to help reduce the waste pile together.
Through Green Deal "Differently Packed", we came into contact with MIVAS, who also wanted to find a sustainable solution for the entire value chain. Together, we teamed up with the circular HUB to develop an efficient logistics concept for all restaurants in Mechelen that want to participate in the circular economy. This eventually led to the Boomerang project.
A portion of packaging doesn't end up in the trash but on the streets. "This causes nuisances and is also bad for the environment," says Aberkane. "That’s why we developed a concept that is user-friendly for both restaurants and customers. It’s also easy to replicate for other businesses or cities."
When you place an order, when you choose your pizza, you will get a pop-up message where you can choose between a reusable pizza box or a classic pizza box.
This window also appears when you are selecting toppings.
After receiving your order, you will receive an e-mail within two hours with instructions on the scheduled collection.
We will ensure that the pizza boxes are collected within 48 hours. You will also receive a confirmation e-mail once the pizza boxes have been collected.
How does the deposit system work?
Currently, it is free of charge.
Upon pickup, you will receive an email confirming the number of boxes collected. Processing and reimbursement will take approximately three working days, and the balance will be refunded to the known account number.
